The church of SS. Annunziata was built in 1512 next to that of S. Rocco and was reduced proportions corresponding to the current presbytery. In 1522 it was founded the Brotherhood of S.S. Rosario Gianfranco Warriors (1589 – 1653) of Fossombrone (PS) realized for the church an altarpiece depicting the Madonna and on board of S. Giustina with the fifteen Mysteries of the Rosary. In August 1833 the church was equipped with two bells. From 1844 to 1846 the church was restored and expanded to a total expenditure of 168 crowns. In 1851 they were carried up the steps of entry and the realization in stone door by the stonemason Emidio Giovannozzi of Ascoli Piceno. From 1876 to 1888 houses the body of St. Basso Martyr Patron of Cupra Marittima From 1888 there was transferred to the jurisdiction of the Parish of SS Andrea and Gregorio Magno of Cupra Marittima collapsed a century ago. In 1973 he was entrusted by the then parish priest Di Girolami, a group of young people because it became the permanent seat of a Nativity Poliscenico. At 8 am on December 5, 1982 collapsed the roof of the church completely destroying the Nativity Poliscenico, but without causing injury. Since 1987, the Friends of the Crib Permanente has begun the reconstruction of the Nativity and in 1991 the Association reconstituted and conglobava the old brotherhood in “Brotherhood of the SS Rosary and the Nativity Permanent “, recognized by the then Bishop. Chiaretti. The Nativity poliscenico permanent “Paul Fontana” of Spanish art with 19 scenes of the highlights of the life of NS Jesus Christ with characters and alberazioni Catalan. The Diorama is located in the church of SS. Annunziata in the old village of Castello di Marano Cupra M. (Ap). Visited at Christmas and during the summer season.
