The library of San Giacomo is situated in the civic museum and contains 61 volumes. Four volumes are written by San Giacomo and contain his sermons. There is also a letter of San Giacomo to San Giovanni of Capestrano, his friend and Franciscan co-friar. There are also 2 old maps of the territory and a coin from 1652, which was coined for the birth of Ferdinando Carlo, son of Carlo II Gonzaga-Nevers and Claire of Habsburg who lived at Mantova. For a long time the couple remained without children, so they implored Giacomo who was very venerated at Mantova and who is one of the patrons of this town.
