The Church of Saint Lucia is located on the west side of Piazza della Repubblica. It was built on that site, with access from below via Garibaldi, from the mid-400 after the original parish church of Saint Lucia, located within the current Park De Vecchis was demolished to be rebuilt within the castle walls. In 1730 the church was again transformed and bringing the entry in the current Republic Square. In 1850 the church was further extended by taking the current architectural appearance. Inside the church are preserved the remaining parts of a polyptych by Carlo Crivelli (sec. XV) Critics consider the masterpiece of Venetian painter. Via Garibaldi, at the base of the west wall of the church is the so-called “portal Pinnova” which is nothing more than the reconstruction of a portal dating back to the ‘eleventh century the ancient Church of Saint Lucia, who was within that which is now the Town Park De Vecchis.
