The Lombard masters Giovanni Andrea and Alessandro Donato were commissioned in 1572 by the City Factory nova Ecclesia. The church was completed in 1577, as evidenced by the commemorative date placed on the lintel of the main portal. The church was raised and after the Napoleonic invasion of 1798-99 were, beginning the last restoration and extension and construction of the majestic bell tower that led to the current configuration. The church of SS. Assumption is characterized and stands out because of the chronological and stylistic unity of his furniture, all of this age, between ‘500 and’ 600, inside are visible signs of the Baroque altars is that on stucco. Beside the high altar is placed a wooden crucifix of polychrome sec. XV-XVI; Behind the table is placed a gilded wooden tabernacle “M. R. PRIO “dated 1628-1632 and attributed to A. Evangelisti scope of D. Bonfini and an altarpiece depicting: l ‘” Last Supper “by P. Gaia, 1596; The side altars are adorned by the following blades “Queen sanctorium Omnium” brothers GB and F. Young kids from Ravenna, in 1583; “Deposition” by A. Vitali, student of Barocci (sec. XVI-XVII); the “Circumcision” of P. Gaia, 1616. On the altar of the Deposition is kept, a pity wooden, (end sec. XV). Special mention deserves the “processional cross” in the XVI century with silver applied two superb small sculptures recently attributed to Pietro Vannini (XV). Monti in 1669, or with the Chapter of Teramo, as in If Msgr. L. Cassiani that from 1770 to 1785 governed the diocese from Monsampolo. Since 1965 the parish has moved to the Diocese of Ascoli P.
