The church of SS. Ippolito and Cassiano Pedara for its location and for its structural characteristics represented not only a place of worship, but also the reference point of social and economic development of the surrounding community; He fell, in fact, the orbit judicial abbey of Farfa which was created in this country a network of places of worship at strategic points. The church has several interesting and pictorial representations. The fresco under the bas-relief depicts the Crucifix between the three Marys and St. John the Evangelist and is dated to the second half of the sixteenth century. In the background there is a walled city with over a peak that is probably the city of Ascoli dominated by Mount Ascension. To the left of the presbytery, on the back wall and soffit of an arched niche, there was a representation of Hell lost half, due to the opening, in the eighteenth century, the door of the rectory. The fresco blasphemers warned through a vision of hell where the damned souls were deformed by suffering. Other interesting votive paintings, some attributed to the “Master of Offida, are placed inside the church. Outside, above the portal of the right side, inside a bezel, there is a fresco depicting the Madonna Enthroned with Child Blessing painted manner stylistic fifteenth. In front of the church it is the tower, originally consisting of five floors, which for its architectural features had a clear defensive purpose. The restaurant on the ground floor, covered by a barrel vault, was carefully decorated with frescoes with the figure of Christ who was to “welcome the faithful” who were about to enter the church. On the second floor there is a room with a cross vault from which the stairway to top, in a space originally intended to warehouse and point of warning and defense. The parsonage leaning to one side of the building dates back, according Furio Cappelli, last quarter of the eighteenth century.
