Roccafluvione

The town which we currently know as Roccafluvione was fonded in 1863. Its inhabited area originates near the old castel of Rocca di Casaregnano, which was joined by the castels of Osoli and Rocca Reonile in 1866. The place-name derives from the nearby Fluvione Torrent. Rotella

The origin of Rotella is possibly pre-Roman. It owes its name to its strategic location on a bend of the river Tesino, at the foot of Mount Ascensione.
