Nestled in the gentle Marche hills, in the centre of Italy, the FIORANO Organic winery is located in Ascoli Piceno province , 300 m above sea level. Fiorano was founded on 2003 from the big passion for wines of Paolo Beretta and Paola Massi. The farm has renovated the existing vineyards with autochthonous varieties and it cultivates them according to the law of biological agriculture.
The farm Fiorano stands out for its biological farming of 14 land hectares used as vineyards and olive groves growing. The farm’s products are strictly controlled by IMC (Istituto Mediterraneo Certificazione) and AIAB association (Associazione Italiana Agricoltura Biologica). Fiorano winery took part of a project of territorial improvement and zoning, a study to verify the best pedoclimatic conditions for the vineyards, in collaboration with University of Milan.
The treatment of the vine-shoots, the perfect exposure of the vineyards, the thinning and the coupling of traditional techniques with modern plant, the commitment of the estate for “green” practices and sustainability, set up wines of superior sort. The uniqueness of the softness and the sweet smells of the wines reflect the features of Piceno area and its hills. Wines are created according to the philosophy committed to the principle of sustainable farming in producing natural wines with a non standardized taste, which represents the surrounding natural environment of the “Terroir Marche”.
