Entering the hamlet of Colle, one of the highest villages in Le Marche region (985 m.), on the top of a hill is located S. Silvestro’s Church.
Whilst this Church is a very old one, the temple which was probably built here for ancient naturalistic cults, for sure outdates it (in fact S. Silvestro’s feast is very close to the Winter Solstice). Master Dionisio Cappelli made many frescos inside this chapel, the most beautiful of them being the one reproducing San Sylvester fighting the Dragon. On the tower is situated an ancient bell dated 1389 with gothic characters.
